The Afghan Education Peace Foundation held its first fundraiser July 14th, 2009 on the Great Lawn of Central Park in New York City. Patrons shared food and friendship on the lawn listening to the New York Philharmonic and watching the fireworks over the skyline. The money raised will go a long way towards our mission of sponsoring Afghan students in American schools.
