The Afghan Education Peace Foundation, a New York City based not-for-profit, seeks to strengthen the security of the United States by rebuilding the economic and social infrastructure of Afghanistan. We sponsor the education of Afghanistan’s best and brightest students in American high schools, community colleges and universities who will return to Afghanistan to contribute their new skills to the reconstruction. A stable and prosperous Afghanistan is key to American national security.

We seek to sponsor students interested in receiving associates, bachelors, and postgraduate degrees in civil and electrical engineering, mining and geological engineering, telecommunications, agriculture, education, pre-med, medicine, nursing, pre-law, law, accounting, finance, and business administration.

Upon the completion of their degrees in the United States, sponsored students will then be required to commit a minimum of five years working in Afghanistan on projects, identified by the Foundation with the assistance of the Afghan government, deemed critical to the social and economic security of the country.
